Rara Lake Boating
Nepal
Rara Lake, located in Mugu District at an altitude of 2,990 meters, is Nepal’s largest and most pristine freshwater lake, covering 10.8 sq. km. Surrounded by alpine forests and the snowcapped peaks of the Rara National Park, it is often called the “Queen of Lakes”. Its turquoise waters, breathtaking reflections, and peaceful atmosphere make it one of the most beautiful destinations in Nepal.
The area is rich in biodiversity, home to Himalayan black bears, musk deer, red pandas, and over 200 species of birds. Due to its remote location, Rara offers an untouched wilderness experience with spectacular natural beauty.
